Our specialists will identify your needs, create an appropriate treatment plan, and prescribe medication. If a long-term provider is unavailable, you may be referred to our crisis counseling service to manage your immediate psychological needs.

The average wait times for in-person and telepsychiatry appointments in the United States are 1.5 and 2 months, respectively. Our virtual crisis counseling service covers this gap in care until you find a longer-term provider. During a 50-minute session, UCMH professionals will address your concerns and help you feel better.

Short-term Medication Management-$250

Without a temporary provider who can manage medication and care, patients’ symptoms may worsen and lead to unnecessary emergency room visits. To protect our clients, we prescribe reliable pharmacological treatments that are not DEA-regulated. Thus, you can continue receiving compassionate care from us until you find a longer-term provider in your community.
Our medication management appointments are 30 minutes long, which is double the time most prescribers spend with their patients. Longer sessions provide an opportunity for you to speak to your provider, express your concerns, and work together to find the best solution without rushing.

Case Management & Referrals-$100/hr

Using our case management service, you will get assistance in finding the best therapists, psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners in your community. UCMH will recommend professionals who are in-network with your insurance company, trained in addressing your specific concerns, and available to take new appointments. Upon request, we can also provide you with private pay options.

Insurance

UCMH services are not covered by insurance, which means that payment is required at the time of service. However, our rates are affordable and reasonable for such specialized urgent care. UCMH staff will give you a receipt with billing codes that you can submit to your insurance provider for out-of-network insurance coverage.
