
SUPERVISING PSYCHIATRIST
Will Clark, M.D., graduated in December 2004 from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Plan II Honors Program. Dr. Clark then earned his medical degree in 2009 at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In 2013, Dr. Clark completed residency training in General Adult Psychiatry at the UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Upon completion of his residency training, Dr. Clark joined the clinical faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Clark worked in a number of roles across various sites and settings within the department’s clinical and research operations until 2023. He served as an attending psychiatrist on the UT Southwestern Inpatient Psychiatry Unit from 2015 and on the UTSW Interventional Psychiatry Service since 2017. In September 2020, Dr. Clark was elevated to the role of Medical Director for the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit, which moved into a new home at Clements University Hospital in January 2021.
Dr. Clark’s former professional activities include direct clinical care, teaching, and clinical administration with an emphasis on quality improvement. He was the Medical Director of the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit. His primary area of clinical interest is the treatment of acute and often severe psychiatric illness with an emphasis on treatment-resistant mood and psychotic disorders. Dr. Clark was also active in clinical research through his work with the Interventional Psychiatry Service.
